INVESTMENT SHARES FOR THE ACHIEVERS.

A new invention and revolution has emerged in TAF. This invention is designed to enlarge the TAF investment and also enable tafites to use their money to create stress free wealth for themselves. Members of the achievers forum have therefore been challenged to take the bull by the horn by purchasing shares from the one hundred and fifty thousand naira capital offered to all tafites for subscription. This call was made by the president comrade Azeem Yusuf who disclosed that proper planning and books of account as well as the necessary mechanism have been put in place to enlarge the business outlet and also create substantial wealth for those who possess shares in the business stock. He noted that these shares are offered to only tafites both home and in the Diasporas.
The hundred and fifty thousand naira capital is raised by the administrative committee in charge of the effective management of TAF,s business ventures. The chairman of the committee seeing to the administration of the venture, comrade Rahmon Sulaimon. It stated that the share is raised to expand the business outlet so as to increase the profit as well as the financial status of the forum. It is however important to reiterate that this attempt is not only for the benefit of the forum’s status, but also to foster rapid and increase profit maximization which would continuously yield adequate and substantial return in form dividend to share holders. In addition, shareholders will have the benefit and exclusive right to partake in the decision making process concerning the day-to-day running of the business ventures though an annual general meeting(AGM) that will hold between the shareholders and administrative committee of the venture. It is from this AGM that critical issues will be addressed; deliberated upon and unanimous decisions will be made by both the administrative team and shareholders.
From the above submission, I will not fail to implore members to be proactive enough in the struggle to become a shareholder knowing fully well that the momentum with which the business is growing is with rapidity. The administrative committee is to a large extent capable enough to withstand any business challenges that may surface as it is evident in their past record.
I will also endeavor to commend the effort of the present executive body of the TAF under the leadership of comrade Azeem Yusuf for their strategic and visionary efforts to upholding the achievers forum. The initiative of business venture establishment and the encouragement given to members to purchase share in the ventures no doubt will bring about benefits which are highlighted below.
1. It will increase and strengthen unity among tafites.
2. It boost members’ morale and increase sense of belonginess
3.It will build confidence in members about the versatility of the forum.
4. It will create a stress free wealth for the forum as well as the shareholders.
5. It will attract new profit oriented members to join TAF and contribute meaningfully to its development.
The list of these benefits is inexhaustible, we can therefore say with utmost pride and confidence that TAF today is vast growing with rapidity that anyone can think of. Kudos thus goes to the officers and the entire members of TAF for their commitment and perseverance which has brought us this far.

TAF'S BUSINESS OUTLET, NOW OPEN.

It may interest all fans and well wishers of The Achivers Forum, Ota. (TAF) especially TAF members both at home and in the diaspora that the forum under the leadership of comrade AZEEM YUSUF OLADIMEJI has now commenced its trading activity which is targeted towards ensuring for a sustainable financial lubricant accelerating the forum's growth.
The business outlet is located right in front of TAF'S secretariat, at Aboleja Street, Ota and is said to be vast growing since its comencement around, February 2009. It is an incontrovertible statement of fact that the recent development in TAF today is not unconnected to the comitments of the indefatigable members of the excecutive body of TAF led by the present able President, Com. Azeem Yusuf.
It is also pertinent to say that the establishment of such investment is not only to finance the forum and mentain a sustainable development for the forum but also to provide a platform where some of its members can earn little income especially the principal officers entrusted with the job of managing the business. This is no doubt a PLUS to the Achievers Forum. No wonder why great elite like Pa G. O. Akasho commended on TAF as the only youth organisation that sets exemplary pace for other sister youth organisations in the city of Ota.
I therefore conclusively say that the Achievers Forum though has existed for nine years and has recorded enormose achivements since her birth, she has just began to display her leadership traits for other youth organisations in her vicinity to follow. I salute all "tafaites" and asure you all that the sky will always be our limit. Of the greatest tafaites... GREAT!!!

ABOUT THE ACHIEVERS FORUM

Brief description: The Achievers’ Forum is a youth organization which is based on principle democracy and social justice. It has an acronym appellation “TAF” with the motor: “moving to the top” The forum’s permanent address is located at 1, Aboleja Street Otta, Ogun State, Nigeria. The forum is registered under the Ado-Odo Otta local Government, Ogun State with registration number 000390.

Brief history: TAF which has become one of the surviving, vast growing and top-rated youth organization in the city of Otta today has remarkable but uneasy development. The forum was formed in March 31st, 2000 with the name “Aboleja Youth Association” (AYAS). When the then AYAS grew better and the to advance the association’s activities became imperative, members of the forum met and deliberated on what nomenclature will be suitable for the associations. It was then concluded that the then AYAS would be changed to The Achiever’s Forum following the numerous achievements that the association had recorded including an award received from Ifesowapo Landlord And Land Ladies Association of Otta.
The association was then inaugurated as The Achievers Forum in the year 2004. The new name was pronounced at the fourth end of the year ceremony/symposium by the patron, Mr A. Abiola. By this new name, the activities of the forum will no longer be limited to the street of Aboleja alone. It will be extended to all a sundry in the city of Otta and Ogun State in General.

Power and Responsibility: Power and responsibilities in TAF are fully democratized with establishment of leadership and followership that the authority with responsibilities and service of accountability as well as transparency

Sources of Fund: TAF derives her funds from various sources ranging from member annual dues, levies, new member registration fees, donations and appeal funds. The forum sometimes embarks on legal investments for profit making. However it has been observed that fund raised from these sources are insufficient for the forum to effectively discharge her stated objectives as contained in the TAF constitution.

Fundamental Objectives: The fundamental objectives of TAF as contained in chapter two, article 3.0 in the constitution are viz:
- To work hard for the development of the community and improving the welfare keeping it free of street urchins.
- The construction and rehabilitation the community and Otta in general.
- To develop our physical facilities/properties by legitimate means for the achievement of the aforementioned goals
- Maintenance of peaceful coexistence among all tafites and youths in the community through the promotion of unity, solidarity, cooperation, understanding and transparency.
- Provision of infrastructural facilities in the community within the capacity of the forum.
- Proper maintenance of existing facilities constructed by the forum or government.
- To eliminate ignorance, discrimination, corruption, and exploitation of any kind in the forum
- To bring cooperation, mutual respect and understanding among members of other sister associations.
- To pursue a program of community developments centered on our people and provide honorary awards to deserved personalities in the community.
- Regardless of political and religious affiliations, we shall strive to foster strong brotherly hood and love among compatriots.
- To organize and host annual youth symposium cum awards nights in the community.
- To be magnanimous to all bonafide members of TAF.

From the foregoing, it can be deduced that TAF is an organization with mission, unfortunately there has been a big constrain to achieving or carry out these aims. Among such constraint therefore is lack of finance which has from inception constituted obstacle to the activities of the forum. It is however believed that with the present administrative strength of the new leadership of the forum, the issue of finance will be an ended story.
